M.I.A. has put the rumors to rest by confirming she’s pregnant with her first baby. She told Pitchfork Media over the weekend, "
I'm creating a baby. When I found out I was pregnant and 'Paper Planes' was in the iTunes top 10, it seemed like the whole world was reshuffled in one week, and all my plans went out the window. I've got two kids, that's what it feels like. And that's the lesson – you can't make plans."
M.I.A. is engaged to Ben Brewer, the singer and guitarist for The Exit. They’re not revealing the gender of the baby or when it’s due. But M.I.A. did mention that she thinks they did things the right way. She says, "I got engaged first, then I got pregnant, kids. I have to do the rounds – go see my family and show them the belly."
