Addressing a decades-old industry rumor, Mia Farrow hinted to Vanity Fair that her 25-year-old son Ronan Farrow, believed to be her only biological child with her ex-partner Woody Allen, could’ve possibly been fathered by—get this—Frank Sinatra.
The iconic actress was married to the legendary singer from 1966 to 1968. She continued an on-and-off relationship with Frank until she started getting serious with Woody.
Vanity Fair didn’t shy away from the topic, asking point blank if the rumors regarding Ronan’s paternity were true. Her response was just one word: “Possibly.”
Since its publication, Ronan, who is a human rights lawyer, has taken to Twitter to address the allegations:
Listen, we're all *possibly* Frank Sinatra's son.— Ronan Farrow (@RonanFarrow) October 2, 2013
Obviously, concerning the reports, Ronan has a good sense of humor—a wit he could’ve inherited from his dad, Woody.
Also noteworthy however is that Ronan’s first name is Satchel, an homage to pioneer African-American baseball pitcher Satchel Paige, who his real father (“possibly!”), Frank, was a big fan of. Um, curveball! (Then again, Woody is also a longtime and prominent baseball fan.)
If Frank really was Ronan’s dad, he would have been 78 at the time of conception. No DNA test has been conducted.
