A Twitter feud between two celebrities is a very real and very serious thing. How else will the entire world know they are fighting if it isn’t broadcast across twitter in 140 characters or less? From Anderson Cooper and MIA’s recent virtual battle to Kim Kardashian slamming Jon Hamm on the social networking site, these are the celebrity twitter feuds of 2012

Anderson Cooper and MIA: The drama started with MIA, who tweeted, “Anderson Cooper called me a terrorist…” Pretty intense words. So Anderson shot back, “MIA you are mistaken. I never called you a terrorist. I don’t even know who you are other than the lady who sang at the Super Bowl…” Okay, Anderson: 1, MIA: 0. MIA then said that a blog on CNN called MIA a “lady Tamil tiger” because MIA was vocal about Sri Lankan civilians dying. However, Anderson had the last word, and I’m paraphrasing here, he said… MIA is dumb and those words were written by a lowly CNN blogger and Anderson doesn’t even know who MIA is.
Madonna Finally Speaks Out About M.I.A.'s Super Bowl Middle Finger

Hey, it was better than an exposed nipple.

M.I.A. made headlines when she flipped the bird at Super Bowl XLVI. But on a scale of celebrity bird flipping—Johnny Cash being at the top, M.I.A.’s was pretty Justin Bieberish, so I don’t really see what all the fuss is about.

NBC apologized to their viewers for it. Yet they made no apologies about the Black Eyed Peas’ Super Bowl performance last year.

Not a very good week for M.I.A. Madonna has officially put a hex on the singer after her attempt to upstage the Queen of Pop during their Super Bowl performance. Either that, or two random crappy things happened to M.I.A. for reasons that do not involve Black Magic. I’m going with hex.

M.I.A. has a two year-old son, Ikhyd—and no, I didn’t fall asleep at the keyboard, that’s the kid’s name—with musician Benjamin Bronfman.

M.I.A Flashes Middle Finger During Madonna's Super Bowl Halftime Show

If you, like me, don’t really care about sports then Super Bowl Sunday was just that thing where football is happening, and the commercials are cool and pepsi product placement, and Madonna performs at halftime!

Before we even get into Madonna’s fab performance, let’s talk about M.I.A’s finger malfunction for a second.

M.I.A is best known for her 2007 hit, “Paper Planes” and is now a featured singer on Madonna’s newest track, “Give Me All Your Luvin.”

Rapper M.I.A. Gives Birth!

Big congrats to rapper M.I.A. who reportedly gave birth to a baby boy on February 12th.

If you all remember M.I.A. was due to give birth on the day of the Grammy's, but she showed up to the awards show anyway and even performed onstage with Jay-Z, T.I, Lil Wayne and Kanye West.

Her fiancé Benjamin Bronfman said she started having contractions right before she hit the stage so a waiting car rushed her off to the hospital after she sang her hit remix "Swagga Like Us."

During the red carpet at the show M.I.A. told reporters, "It doesn't matter to me if it's a boy or a girl. If it's a girl she will be a tough girl, but I think I may have a boy because I have a pointy stomach."

There's still no official confirmation from her camp in regards to the details (and or the name of the baby), but we hear all went well. She's even hoping to bounce back in two weeks so she can make it to the Oscars, where she's still scheduled to perform.
M.I.A. Confirms She's Pregnant

M.I.A. has put the rumors to rest by confirming she’s pregnant with her first baby. She told Pitchfork Media over the weekend, "I'm creating a baby. When I found out I was pregnant and 'Paper Planes' was in the iTunes top 10, it seemed like the whole world was reshuffled in one week, and all my plans went out the window. I've got two kids, that's what it feels like. And that's the lesson – you can't make plans."

M.I.A. is engaged to Ben Brewer, the singer and guitarist for The Exit. They’re not revealing the gender of the baby or when it’s due. But M.I.A. did mention that she thinks they did things the right way. She says, "I got engaged first, then I got pregnant, kids. I have to do the rounds – go see my family and show them the belly."
