Meryl Streep took home her third Oscar win tonight after a lifetime of racking up 17 nominations.
Streep revealed to Hollyscoop at the 2012 Academy Awards that she has a special good luck charm that led to her winning Best Actress for her role as Margaret Thatcher in “The Iron Lady.”
“I have shoes that Ferragamo made because he made all of Margaret [Thatcher’s] shoes,” Streep tells HS.
So she truly got into character, even on Oscar night, and apparently her lucky charm paid off. Streep should really be thanking Ferragamo for his winning shoes.
She may have delivered an exceptionally moving acceptance speech, but Streep revealed to us that she was incredibly nervous before her win.
“Yes, feel my heart,” Streep tells us before she heads into the ceremony.
This is Meryl’s first win since she took home the same award in 1983 for “Sophie’s Choice.”
