Mel Gibson's Stepmother Requests Restraining Order Against Him

Like most of the population, old ladies fear Mel Gibson too.

The actor’s stepmother, Teddy Gibson, has filed a restraining order against him. Allegedly, Mel turned physically aggressive on his elderly relative after the rough divorce to Gibson’s father.

According to court documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, a hearing on the request is set for July 25. In the documents, Teddy and her attorney Brian J. Kramer don't hold back.

"Mel has sunken to new lows over the last year by committing several acts of domestic violence against his 78-year-old stepmother," the papers read.

If her claims are true, it proves once again that Mel Gibson puts the “rage” in “raging assh*le.”

Mel’s dad, John Gibson, is a 93-year-old-man who filed for divorce in June, citing irreconcilable differences. The petition against Mel accuses him of screaming at Teddy when she simply questioned John’s preference of some medical treatments he was undergoing.

Mel? Screaming? Noooo…

If you find yourself wondering why a 93-year-old would go through the trouble of a divorce in the first place, you’re not alone. Apparently, the whole thing smells a little funny to Teddy too. She wants to talk to John without Mel’s interference so that she can “make sure both he is OK and not being manipulated by Mel or into a course of action he does not wish to take."

The restraint comes after a series of unfortunate events relating to Mel’s anger issues, dating back to 2006 when he shouted anti-Semitic comments at a police officer who pulled the actor over for DUI.

And then there was the Mel Gibson baby mama drama with Oksana.

Most recently, Gibson spewed his molten vocabulary at screenwriter Joe Eszterhas who caught the whole thing on tape.

TMZ was first to report the request for restraining order and as unfortunate as this news is, the most unfortunate part is how unsurprised everyone is by another Mel Gibson out of control story. Oh, Mel… When will you learn?
