Mel Gibson
DUI? What DUI? Mel Gibson wants his infamous DUI arrest from 2006 to be cleared off his record because he has completed the terms of his probation.

TMZ reports that Mel's lawyer, Blair Berk, will be in court on his behalf next week (October) to ask a judge to "remove the DUI from Gibson's record -- because he has successfully completed all the terms of his 3-year probation."

He made headlines back in '06 when he was caught driving under the influence and went on an anti-Semitic rant that authorities tried to cover up.

Gibson successfully attended a 12-step program for 11 months, underwent an alcohol abuse education course, and also handed over his driver’s license for 90 days. But even if he manages to get the DUI cleared from his record, that's one arrest no one will ever forget!

Absolutly everybody in USA can ask for his DUI to be expunged form his record if he can afford the alwyer. its not a priviledge you moron! Crystal, Mel's wife is still Robyn, in case oyu didnt notice, and Mel Gibson Is American, born New Yorker, in fact at the exact location he is filming the Beaver right now: Peekskill, Westchester! you are all a bunch of ignorant thats all. you need a DUI arrest-free paper to can get ot Canada to watch the olympics. as for facing the law, dude, he already served, twice as much as anybody will and much moree than he was charged for, and he paid very much, far too much, with his own life and carreer for something so minor. He was arested 100 meters from his home. What about Roman Polanski? what about OJ??? oh sorry, the one is jew the other is black. Is that why? Then its highly racist to do so, and discrminatory. As for "priviledges" what about ht e"priviledge" of having oyur police records made public and put into th epres huh? and what about the fact that never in american history no police officer has ever written in his rapport, during a DUI arrest, what a drunk guy had said to him while drunk! This was the very first time it ever happened! so why did they made a difference here? oh I forgot, the rapport show up 4 days later, of course!

Mel Gibson is disgusting. It just goes to show you how corrupt Hollywood and the Justice System in California really is. Mel Gibson needs to take himself and his eaqually disgusting Russian wife and move back to Australia, because the USA don't need you.

I am truly amazed how some Hollywood stars feel that they are above the law just because they have money. The sad thing is that money talks and he will probably get what he wants.

This just shows that he has no morals. Does he think that he can hide this underground like his adultery? He is the one who will not take responsiblities for his own actions. This arrest signaled the on going decline of what use to be an honorable and decent man.

Do u REALLY think that JUST because u are a hollywood celebrity, that u should be given special privileges?I think not. If u get it right, then EVERYONE should. NO WAY, act like a man,if u are one, that is! U did wrong and should face that fact,as that is what the LAW is FOR. I REST MY CASE.

A CA DUI stays on your driving record for 10yrs. If you get another DUI in those 10yrs, it counts as a second and the penalties are a lot worse. If you get another one AFTER 10yrs, it counts as a first. If you are applying for a job, most companies don't care about the conviction after 10yrs., but you still have to admit to being charged with a crime anyway. He is asking for special privileges and should be denied.

LOL you can run but you cant hide from it Mel. You might be able to pay your way free from it being on your record but it will forever be remembered by the public. Honestly i think it should remain on your record as a little reminder of just how low you had sunk. Maybe it would prevent you from ever doing it again.
