Mel Gibson rarely speaks about his personal life but for the first time in a very long time he has opened up and he is not holding anything back.
Mel Gibson talked to the Daily Mail about his battle with alcoholism, his divorce and even touched on the Tiger Woods scandal.
We've broken down the interview for easy reading:
On the Tiger Woods scandal: "I feel sorry for Tiger Woods. Why are we talking about this when we're sending 30,000 more troops to Afghanistan? You've got this history-changing event going on and we're talking about Tiger's private life and golf injuries...He's being used as a diversion and it just drives me crazy. You come out savaged," he says. "I just think, 'Who cares?'"
On his divorce: "When all's said and done, I did a pretty good hatchet job on my marriage...I'm to blame, if you're inclined to judge."
But he adds, "Nobody is without sin. You have to try to make amends if you can. You have to shut up and move on and not whine about it. And you have to deal with it like a man.
On his battle with alcoholism: "It's been 3 1/2 years now (without alcohol) ..." he says. "I have to be vigilant about these things or it will creep back in."
