Mel Gibson Attends Premiere With New Girlfriend

The Mel Gibson divorce news may have caught most people by surprise, but according to his rep, the actor has been single for over 3 years. Which may explain why he chose to make a public outing with his girlfriend last night. The duo attended the red carpet premiere of X Men Origins: Wolverline together last night.

Mel and his 39-year old Russian singer girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, walked the red carpet hand-in-hand last night at the premiere. Gibson rarely makes public appearances so it was a bit of a shocker to see him, especially with his new girlfriend.

"Mel has been single for almost three years and it's nice to see him getting out and enjoying himself," his rep told People Magazine.

"They came in quietly and as under-the-radar as they could and they were pretty low-key," says a source. "Mel seemed very comfortable."
