Megan Fox to be Banned Online for One Whole Day

What would a day be like in the blogging world without mention of Megan Fox for a whole 24 hours?! Well, we’ll soon find out what that void feels like on August 4th. Several male-centric media outlets and websites have declared a one-day ban on Megan, calling it a “Megan Fox media blackout day.”

Sites like Gatecrasher, Asylum.com, AskMen.com, and others have decided enough is enough with the current obsession and they need to take a break.

AskMen.com’s Editor-in-Chief James Bassil tells The New York Daily News, “You can have too much of a good thing. We’re joining in the media blackout and giving our readers a one-day reprieve from the woman we’ve been drowning in all summer.”

Eric Rogell of TheBachelorGuy.com says, “Listen, we love Megan. She’s responsible for driving more eyeballs to our sites — just by getting photographed walking down the street in a white T-shirt — than any other celeb alive. It’s time to give another young actress a shot at the attention. We’re taking a one-day break from covering Megan’s latest nail polish color and instead promoting another ‘Next Big Thing.’”

We have to admit, Megan Fox definitely came out of nowhere to become a permanent fixture not only online, but on magazine covers as well. We can see why a 24-hour break could be a good thing.

The only question is…who will she be replaced by that day??

How about we replace articles about her with articles that actually mean something to someone. There's still a war going on, there's still poverty in America, there's still a murder rate in New Orleans almost as high as Bagdad. There's lot's of stuff to write about that's almost as big as Megan's fake boobs.

If she is that popular that she's is constantly being blogged about then that's not her fault - she's just a gorgeous and talented woman and she shouldn't be punished for that - let people blog!

i think whole thing is silly. It's not like she's the one blogging, or interviewing herself. If that was the case, I can understand, but it's the media who got sick of the media coverage. The media should ban themselves for a day. There should be a day with no paparazzi.
