This is one cat-fight that won’t live to see a second round…
Megan Fox is speaking up in an attempt to nip a rumored feud with Lindsay Lohan in the bud. The actress is featured in the new issue of Esquire magazine where she was quoted as saying she is “not interested” in ending up on the same path as the “Liz & Dick” star.
The 26-year-old stunner and new mom took to her Facebook page for a little damage control on the interview. Or, as she puts it, “to clarify before it snowballs into something silly."
Her reasoning behind even bringing the name “Lindsay Lohan” up in the first place:
“… I attempted to draw parallels between Lindsay and Marilyn in order to illustrate my point that while Marilyn may be an icon now, sadly she was not respected and taken seriously while she was still living.
Both women were gifted actresses, whose natural talent was lost amongst the chaos and incessant media scrutiny surrounding their lifestyles and their difficulties adhering to studio schedules etc."
As we previously reported, Megan was discussing her decision to remove the Marilyn Monroe tattoo on her forearm, a process that is almost complete, when Lindsay came up.
“She [Marilyn] was an actress who wasn’t reliable, who almost wasn’t insurable … She had all of the potential in the world, and it was squandered,” says Fox in the interview. “I’m not interested in following in those footsteps.”
Rather than an attempt to protect her own image as a “Real Housewives”-esque instigator, Fox comes off as genuinely remorseful in the FB post for the media circus that has ensued, seeming to speak directly to LiLo:
“It was most definitely not my intention to criticize or degrade Lindsay.
I would never want her to feel bullied, as she does not deserve that.
I was not always speaking eloquently during this interview and this miscommunication is my fault.”
To summarize: Megan Fox is as mild-mannered and selfless as she is straight-up sexy!
