Meet the house that Friends built. 'Cause we know Mr. Sunshine didn't build it. "What's Mr. Sunshine," you ask? Exactly.
Matthew Perry just bought a gorgeous, $8.65 million mansion in the Hollywood Hills. It's 4,000 square feet, has amazing panoramic views of all of Los Angeles, and is described as "mid-century modern". I, however, would describe it as "mid-century badass."
It includes three bedrooms, four bathrooms, and is located in the Bird Streets neighborhood right above the Sunset Strip. Yet it's high enough up on the hills that you don't smell the disregarded dog crap people like to leave on the streets.
The kitchen is sleek, modern, and has full walls of floor-to-ceiling windows. There's a sub-zero fridge, a wine cabinet, and a built-in coffee/espresso maker. So it's like the Jetsons. At this rate, I'm guessing the house also comes with its own robot butler.
The bathroom has a standalone bathtub that sits next to another floor-to-ceiling glass window—with a gorgeous, relaxing view of the trees.
The master bedroom brags the same vast windows, where you can see the estate's outdoor infinity pool. There's also a fireplace and a stunning panoramic view of the city. And somewhere down there is a modest writer, waving up to him, saying, "Adopt me, Matthew, adopt me!" The blinds on all the windows are all electronically controlled.
The bachelor pad is an L-shaped house with a scaled entry courtyard. So that means there's a buffer between the street and the actual house.
And even the garage is awesome. The garage door is virtually silent, and at $27,000, it better be. Yes, Matthew Perry's garage door cost about the same as my college education. The garage contains all of the home's automation systems and has a custom lighting system with LED lights that change colors. I don’t even know why that would be necessary, but why the hell not?
But probably the fanciest part of this house is the state-of-the-art home theater that is actually under the master bedroom. The theater seats nine people, and the windows show a view of the inside of the pool.
This isn’t Perry's first rodeo. He has a ton of Los Angeles real estate, including another house in the Hills he bought back in March for $4,475,000. He then bought a $883,000 for a ranch home in Studio City. He also has a little place out in Malibu. A $6 million little place.
Can you have any more houses?
