After months of buildup, gay teens Kurt and Blaine finally admitted their growing romantic feelings for one another and sealed it with a kiss on Fox's hit show Glee.

Blaine has fast become a fan favorite since he first appeared on the show back in October 2010 and everyone has been anxiously waiting to see if him and Kurt would become more than friends. And they finally did last night.

The show tackled bullying in the same show that introduced Blaine, and over time they’ve continued to remind fans that there’s nothing wrong with being who you are—gay or straight.

When asked about the timing of the gay kiss, Jane Lynch told Hollyscoop exclusively at the Glee Paleyfest, I don't make those decisions about right time, but I'm glad they did it. I'm glad that there was a kiss between a boy and a boy on television. That were a lot of young people watching it, so, you know, we'll see it's just another way to love."

She added, “I don't think there's anything scandalous about our show at all".

Meanwhile, Chris Colfer, who plays Kurt thinks the timing was impeccable!

Chris told Hollyscoop, "I think so, I think if we had postponed it any longer it would've been madness and insane, so yeah."

He added, "I think it's good to show High School as it really is, I mean, I was just in public High School…it was just like that, so I think it's great to have a real portrayal of High School."

When asked about his characters relationship with Blaine he confessed, "It's been pretty good so far, like they're hasn't really been too many bumps in the road, but I feel like every relationship I would expect for it to go through it's rollercoaster of emotions."

And Darren Criss, who plays Blaine on the show, wasn’t so much concerned about the timing of the kiss, because the relationship was already established.

Darren told Hollyscoop, "Right time or wrong time, I don't know, I never really thought about that. I mean, I feel like they could've done it whenever because they have set it up so well.

“Because they decided to do it now, it worked, they had the preceding scenes make a lot of sense and it was cool to put it in such a jam packed episode, so much going on with regional’s and the new songs and everything, so yeah, I mean because it happened and because it's been received I will say ‘yeah it was the right time’, it is what it is."

Glee creator Ryan Murphy says he made sure they kissed just for the fans. "I don’t think it’s too much if it's done, you know, honestly and with the right intent. You know, I mean part of the stuff for some of that was just the fan demand for those two was so strong, so we listen to that once in a while, but, I don't know, I love that story."

But Glee star Matthew Morrison thinks it’s all about the right timing. And he couldn’t be more proud to be apart of such an amazing show.

Matthew told Hollyscoop, "I do think it was the right time. I thought it was so special. I thought it was something that people were ready for, and I thought it was beautifully done, it was like a nice, long kiss, and actually the first time I saw it was last night when I watched it, and it was just, I thought it was so well done. But my favorite relationship is Kurt and his father right now, and I think it's such an important relationship to have in our society right now."

Cory Monteith, who plays Fin on the hit show, has his own love affair with Rachel, but couldn’t help but gush about the amazing gay kiss on the show.

"Yeah, I think it was [perfect timing]. You don't want to drag things out like that longer then they should be. And everybody was calling for it, and it was awesome. I thought that it was done incredibly well."

"I think they're both really valid, interesting relationships, and I think that it's not arbitrary. People aren't just making out cause you know they don't have anything else to do but make out, so you know, they're good relationships. So, I'm interested to see where they go.
