Matthew McConaughey and his longtime girlfriend Camila Alves got engaged sometime around Christmas. I mean, they already have two kids together and have been dating for 6 years, so a wedding at this point is kind anti-climactic.
But still, this is all very exciting!
Matthew and Camila finally tied the knot Saturday evening in a private ceremony in Texas. The couple has a home in Texas, which is probably why they took the plunge there and not L.A. Also, it would be impossible to avoid the paps in L.A.
Apparently, the vendors involved in the nuptials had to sign a nondisclosure agreement. The theme of the wedding was "island beach meets Texas" with yellow and orange colors, reports ET.
Estancia Churrascaria, a Brazilian steak house, catered the wedding with a menu that includes Brazilian top and bottom steak, chicken wrapped in bacon and pork sausages with cheese bread.
According to reports only two-dozen close friends and family were invited.
When the couple got engaged, McConaughey did a rare thing of blasting the news across the Internet. He wrote on his WhoSay account, “Just asked Camila to marry me, Merry Christmas.”
Congrats to the happy couple!
