Matt Damon Beefs Up For Role in The Informant!

Matt Damon is starting to resemble the Pillsbury Dough Boy rather than his hunky self! But don’t fear ladies, it’s all for his new flick The Informant!

The 38-year-old gained 30 pounds for the role, and the depressing part is he didn't even have to try! Matt tells Entertainment Weekly, "I started eating like crazy and drinking dark beer. Between meals on set, I'd eat a No. 1 Value Meal at McDonald's and then Doritos on top of it. It was absolute heaven."

That definitely sounds like heaven! According to the films website, the flick centers on Damon, who plays Mark Whitacre, a rising star in the agri-industry at his company Archer Daniels Midland. He then gets involved with the FBI to help them expose the company’s multi-national price-fixing conspiracy. The FBI needs proof from him, and has Whitacre wear a wire and carry a hidden tape recorder in his briefcase. But of course, in this quirky comedy, not everything can go as planned.

The film is based on the true story of the highest-ranking corporate whistle-blower in U.S. history. Also starring in the film is The Soup’s own Joel McHale!

From the plot to the feasting, it all sounds…well scrumptious! While Matt might not get an Oscar from starring in the film, it sounds like the transformation was worth it! Check out the trailer below.
