5 Famous People Born on Friday the 13th

If you have paraskevidekatriaphobia, today is not the day for you. If you don’t know what that is, either figure it out or look it up--what am I, Wikipedia?

Friday the 13th is considered an unlucky holiday for many. According to the British Medical Journal, there’s a significant increase in traffic-related accidents when the date is Friday the 13th. Also, Tupac died on Friday the 13th. Need I say more?

But some consider Friday the 13th lucky, especially if they were born on that date. Here are five famous people that were born on Friday the 13th.

Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen: The twins were born Friday, June 13, 1986. And superstitions be damned, because these two are just about as lucky as you can get. A billion dollar empire, massive fame, an awesome wardrobe…the list goes on.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus: This Seinfeld actress was born on the infamous date as well. Julia was born January 13, 1961. In 2010, she got her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It was about time.

Steve Buscemi: The Boardwalk Empire star was born Friday, December 13, 1957. Before he got famous, Buscemi was a NYC fire fighter. The day after the 9/11 tragedy, Steve showed up at his old fire house to volunteer.

Margaret Thatcher: Thatcher was born Friday, October 13, 1925. Yup, a Friday the 13th so close to Halloween. That’s got to mean something to someone. Thatcher was most recently portrayed by Meryl Streep in The Iron Lady.

Alfred Hitchcock: How appropriate. Hitchock was born on Friday, August 13, 1899.
