Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg Team Up for The Fighter
Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg are two men you probably wouldn’t want to get into a fight with, but put them together, and who would win?

Bale and Wahlberg have just signed on for the movie The Fighter, a biopic about Boston’s world lightweight champ “Irish" Mickey Ward.

The story follows Ward, who was coached and brought to the top by his half brother Dicky Eklund, who spent years in prison for drugs and robbery. Bale plays Ecklund, who cleans up his act in prison, gets out, and is able to coach his brother, played by Wahlberg, to the top.

Sounds like a feel good story! This movie has actually been sitting on the shelf for years, and was originally intended for Mark Wahlberg and Matt Damon. But we much more prefer the casting duo of Wahlberg and Bale. Production begins in July in Boston.
