'Glee' Star Accused of Sexual Assault

Here’s a headline to take the “Glee” right out of your morning…

Mark Salling, the actor who portrays Noah “Puck” Puckerman on the long-running FOX musical series, is being sued by his ex-girlfriend Roxanne Gorzela for sexual assault.

In a suit filed on January 18th, Gorzela accuses the television actor of sexual battery, assault and battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. The suit centers around a particular incident that occurred in March 2011 while the two were dating.

According to ET, the suit claims that Salling engaged in unprotected sex with Gorzela after she insisted that he wear a condom.

Allegedly, when she confronted him about his actions, Salling pushed Gorzela to the ground, which caused injuries to both her head and her knees. The incident occurred on March 25th, 2011 and a police report was filed.

Salling was quick to speak up about the troubles, addressing his fans on Twitter. On Saturday, he wrote:

“I always have and always will appreciate your support. Terror and intimidation are things ill never subscribe to. Love y'all so much”

The actor’s rep has since released a statement to Yahoo.com’s omg! on the matter, calling Gorzela’s accusations false and unprovoked.

“There is no truth to this,” the rep said. “It's the textbook case of a disgruntled girl looking to cash in on a TV star's success. We turn the rest over to Mark's attorneys and have no further comment.”

Salling’s team is reportedly planning to countersue. According to a source familiar with the incident, they’ll have no trouble doing so.

“The night this supposedly happened she first broke down his door to get in. There is a witness who was there who can testify to this,” the source said. “Mark would never and has never abused a woman in anyway.”
