Yet another season of “Dancing With The Stars” is coming to an end. Tonight, a new couple will be crowned the champs and it’s truly anyone’s game.

All three finalist couples brought it last night. Nearly perfect tens all around. Katherine Jenkins pulled slightly ahead, simply by being perfect.

Jenkins and her partner Mark Ballas wowed the judges with their paso doble. In the judges’ eyes, it was a display that brought her back to the beginning

I know exactly one thing about Dancing With The Stars, and it is that Derek Hough is adorable. That knowledge has nothing to do with the rest of this story.

Last night’s semifinals brought out the best performances from the remaining DWTS contestants: Donald Driver, Katherine Jenkins, William Levy and Maria Menounos.

However, it was Katherine Jenkins who stole the show. Not necessarily because she had the best performance, but because she provided last night’s injury quota.

Last week, Jaleel White ranked among the bottom two on “Dancing With The Stars” and only escaped elimination by besting Gavin DeGraw in a dance duel. (If you haven’t watched, don’t keep reading. Spoilers!)

Monday brought out the Motown! An inspired Jaleel and his partner Kym Johnson danced a cha cha to "Ain't Too Proud to Beg!” that earned them 29 points. No begging necessary. "That was the biggest sizzler of the season," declared Bruno Tonioli.

A steamy rumba to Smokey Robinson's "Being with You" from William Levy and Cheryl Burke divided the judges a bit. Tonioli declared:

Today is the day! Today is the day that a lot of names of people that we haven’t heard from in a while are paired up with professionals ballroom dancers for the “Dancing With The Stars Cast Announcement.”

The View co-host Sherri Shepherd will be paired with Val Chmerkovskiy, whom Sherri calls “one of the best frickin’ dancers in the world. He’s hot!” But not as hot as Casper Smart, amiright!?

Former child star Melissa Gilbert will be paired with the show’s favorite and most controversial ballroom dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

They were a match made in talent reality show heaven. Or something like that.

Pia Toscano and Mark Ballas have split, according to E! News. Toscano was eliminated from American Idol earlier this year, causing the largest public uproar since Sanjaya. Shortly thereafter, Toscano started dating Mark Ballas of Dancing With the Stars. Oh, and also making music and stuff.

Multiple sources confirm to E! that the relationship is over, and Pia's rep's response: "She's hard at work on her new album and can't wait for her fans to hear it. Pia is wrapping up her American Idol tour and her album is expected to be released soon."

Dancing with the Stars pro Mark Ballas lost his chance to win another disco ball trophy after his partner Shannen Doherty was booted off during week 2, but the good news is you can see (and read) him every week here on Hollyscoop!

Here's Mark's professional opinion about Week 5 of the show and the contestants:

Jake and Chelsie: Jake is really improving, in my opinion samba is the hardest Latin dance, because it really has to bounce, I thought Jake could have bounced a bit more. But all in all improved and he really went for it, which I love....

Evan and Anna: I feel like the judges were way too hard on Evan tonight, I thought his samba had rhythm and he hit some superb lines with a great chemistry with Anna. I'm sure he will bounce back next week, they are definitely a couple to watch!

Niecy and Louis: I thought this piece was so great -- technical, sharp, with a touch of comedy, I thought the choreography was clever and even though there was a Comedy element, the dancing didn't suffer. I think Louis is doing a great job with Neicy, loved this routine.

Erin and Maks: I thought this routine was fun and flirty -- all the things a samba should be. I think Maks is doing a great job with Erin, I'm sure all the ladies at home loved this piece. Lol

Chad and Cheryl: Huge improvement this week from Chad, this was for sure his best dance. His most controlled and contained, a firey chemistry between them, I liked this very much...

Derek and Nicole: BAM BOOM. This was OUTTA HERE! Perfect In my opinion...... HOME RUN

Pam and Damien: I thought Pam’s dancing improved from last week, this is a hard dance and I thought she was seductive, sexy and executed it very well, this was also her strongest dance for timing and musicality too...
Every week Dancing with the Stars pro Mark Ballas blogs for Hollyscoop about his predictions for the show, gives advice and much more! Here's Mark's blog from week 3:

So I thought this week was a solid show -- some great break out performances and some obvious improvements.

I thought Pam was very much improved from last week, and got into character beautifully, I loved her dress and her emotional connection to the dance was great. Well done Pam.

Another great improvement was from Kate, she was actually moving very well out on the floor with Tony, We have to give HUGE props to Tony as a teacher for pushing her to a higher level this week. Great job my man.

Evan.... Again slick, classy, and controlled, improvement in his right arm in frame, and I thought the song was really cool and had a modern twist, Evan is really starting to blossom, I would have liked to have seen him in a tux in this dance though, for me that is more his style.

I felt the judges were way too harsh on Jakes scores, he had a huge improvement from last week, his frame was better his feet were better and even his determination was better, he stumbled but so what, he recovered well, too low of a score for him.

Nicole for me was gorgeous, loved the dress, and the choreography, some of her lines and artistry were simply outstanding, for me she could’ve had a higher score too -- three 9s maybe....

This season is really starting to get interesting, the bottom 2 has changed every week, keep voting for your fav, otherwise the red light of doom will eat you alive! ;)

HOLLYSCOOP EXCLUSIVE

We all knew Mark Ballas could dance, but man can this guy sing! Hollyscoop got the invite this week to attend “An Evening With Mark Ballas” at The Mint in LA, where he performed songs off his new album Waiting for Patience.

All of his Dancing with the Stars co-stars showed up—straight from the dance floor—to show their support for Mark, including Cheryl Burke, Nicole Scherzinger, and Derek Hough.

Mark talked to Hollyscoop EXCLUSIVELY about the album. He said it’s a “pop, rock, soul” album that “I did all independent. It’s intimate, going to the roots and stripped down.”

When we asked what his plans were for the year, Ballas said, “We are going to hopefully go on tour with the guys who are playing with me.”

His co-stars praised his singing ability too. Cheryl Burke told us, “Mark sings all the time. He is very talented and this is definitely something everyone needs to embrace.”

Inside, Mark belted out a handful of tunes off the album, and most of them were geared right towards the ladies! Luckily there were more than enough in the audience. A Hollyscoop spy caught major eye contact between Mark and Dancing pro Chelsea Hightower more than once. Every time he stared at her, she’d giggle with partner Jake Pvelka and fiancée Vienna Girardi. We smell a couple alert!

He had a lot of fun with the performance, and reminded us a lot of fellow artist Adam Levine from Maroon 5. He also covered Marvin Gaye’s “Sexual Healing” and Rihanna’s “Rude Boy,” which were both crowd-pleasers.

Mark’s album Waiting for Patience is out on iTunes now!
Kate Gosselin has gotten nothing but bad press since she began this season of Dancing With the Stars. But Hollyscoop talked to the contestants and fans of the show at Mark Ballas' performance at the Mint in LA, and you might be surprised at what they think of her!

Kristi Yamaguchi: "I think everyone brings different levels of experience and that is what makes it interesting. I think someone in her position has an advantage in a way that they can show the improvement more than with Nicole. The judges like seeing that."

Cheryl Burke: "We don’t really see each other. Kate is an amazing woman and we had an amazing time together. She is a sweet warm-hearted mother. I respect everything she has done for her and her kids, she is working really hard like any other mom."

Shannon Elizabeth: "People want to see her and that is great. The show is all about ratings."

Derek Hough: "I think people need to tale a pill and relax. It’s show business everyone loves to hate or make fun of somebody. It’s like school, I think tonight she did a fantastic job. I was really proud of her."

Anna Trebunskaya: "I don’t think its fair, she is actually like a lot of other women. She works hard for her family. The media takes an angle of celebrities, hopefully through the show people will see she is caring."

Aiden Turner: "Kate has always been bashed in the press. I know better than to believe what you read. When it is in your face so much you tend to believe it. Through being on the show I have learned that she is a sweet heart. She has eight children but she is not like they perceive her. She is a nice girl. Leave her alone a little bit, how is she going to find a man if everyone says she is a devil."
Dancing with the Stars pro Mark Ballas lost his chance to win another disco ball trophy after his partner Shannen Doherty was booted off during week 2, but the good news is you can see (and read) him every week here on Hollyscoop!

Mark will be a celebrity guest blogger on Hollyscoop giving his professional input on all the dancers and performances throughout the season. Here's what Mark had to say about week 2:

Well what a wicked week 2 of competition, I gotta say this cast is so strong and my fellow professional dancers are really delivering creative and artistic masterpieces, which is essentially making this season so exciting.

For me stand out performances came from, Nicole and Derek, Evan and Anna, Jake and Chelsie and Erin and Maks, I thought Nicole and Dereks sailor routine was extremely powerful, slick, funny and polished, as a show number it was absolutely outstanding, I thought the 6 from Len was a little over the top, but Len is Len. Ha ha

Moving on to Evan and Anna: So much elegance and Class, Evan is definitely a stand out competitor, I thought he and Anna were excellent and I loved the story line an the concept, everything from the choreography to the costume was pure class, If he can master his right arm in hold, he will be a dangerous competitor for the others.

Jake and Chelsie: This number for me had the best story line, huge props to Chelsie for excellent story telling choreography, I thought this piece was extremely creative, the whole Egyptian theme, was executed brilliantly and I thought Jake showed improvement from the previous week. It will be exciting to see him progress, and I loved Chelsie’s Cleopatra outfit, sexy lol

Erin and Maks: Excellent use of a basic prop. This number for me was the most dangerous, and Maks did an excellent job with the choreography and tie it all together, I thought they were dressed beautifully as well, Erin has huge potential and I think Maks will make her the best she can be, she is definitely one to watch out for!

Talk to you guys next week!

If you have a favorite couple, I hope you all voted for them, cause you never know when the red light of doom will be on your favorite!
