More details have just emerged regarding
Mariska Hargitay’s hospitalization last week.
She was rushed to a New York emergency room for chest pains, and her rep said she would be fine and that her work would not be affected.
But now, according to Entertainment Weekly, Mariska will be missing several weeks of production on Law & Order: SVU.
A show source told EW’s Michael Ausiello that she needs to take the time to recuperate before coming back to the set.
Mariska’s rep has also issued a statement saying, "Mariska is recovering well and is expected to return to SVU in the next couple of weeks.”
That same source also adds that although she’ll be gone, it’ll only translate into one episode. They say that “She is doing great. She will recoup for a few weeks and be back better than ever.”
Hopefully that’s her last trip to the ER! We wish her a full recovery!
