The Emmy nominations are in, which means award show season is right around the corner!

Mariska Hargitay to Miss Several Weeks of SVU

More details have just emerged regarding Mariska Hargitay’s hospitalization last week.

She was rushed to a New York emergency room for chest pains, and her rep said she would be fine and that her work would not be affected.

But now, according to Entertainment Weekly, Mariska will be missing several weeks of production on Law & Order: SVU.

A show source told EW’s Michael Ausiello that she needs to take the time to recuperate before coming back to the set....
Mariska Hargitay Hospitalized

“Law & Order: SVU” star Mariska Hargitay was hospitalized--yet again--Wednesday night in New York City for chest pains.

This is the third time Hargitay has been hospitalized since December, the previous two times were for a collapsed lung.

She reportedly complained of chest pains on the set of the NBC show yesterday and was taken to the hospital right after filming.

Mariska Hargitay Suffers Collapsed Lung

This is terrible news! Law & Order SVU’s Mariska Hargitay has suffered a collapsed lung.

Access Hollywood was the first to learn the news. Mariska’s rep says she’s been “sidelined with a pneumothorax,” which is a partially collapsed lung.

It’s unknown at this time how she suffered the collapsed lung, but it may have been a result of a buildup of air in the space between the lung and chest wall. It sounds painful to even think about!
