Marie Osmond is reportedly heading off to a psych ward. The poor woman has had such a tragic year, we wouldn’t be surprised if it was true. The National Enquirer first reported the news, with sources claiming she’s so depressed over her son’s suicide that she’s at her wit’s end. Insiders say her Las Vegas shows aren’t doing anything for her well-being either.

Marie Osmond Cancels More Shows

“Every performance takes another bite out of her emotional health,” says a source close to Marie. “Even though Marie is fragile, she still showed up at the Daytime Emmys on June 27.

The source added, “People around her are afraid she’ll have a complete collapse and end up in permanent psychiatric care.”

Marie Osmond's Son Commits Suicide

The Enquirer claims Donny is going to be the one to have to take the drastic steps necessary to save his sister.

This is just so heartbreaking. We hope it doesn’t come to the point where she has to be away from her family. She’s always had such strong family values, and hopefully they will be able to get Marie back to her old self, one step at a time. Our thoughts are with her!
Marie Osmond thought she was ready to get back to work after the tragic death of her son, but clearly she still needs time to grieve.

Marie and Donny have cancelled the remainder of their shows at the Flamingo Las Vegas this week because she feels like she needs more time.

"She needs to spend more time with her family," her rep said. "She's still processing everything and it's really rough on her."

Marie originally returned right back on stage on March 9 after her son's funeral. During the show Marie told the crowd, "The way Osmonds survive is we keep singing. "That's what we want to do tonight. I know my son would want that and this show is for him."

The brother and sister duo is expected to return to the stage on March 23..

Marie Osmond’s son Michael Blosil will be laid to rest on Monday. The family will say their goodbyes in a private funeral in the family’s home state of Utah.

Blosil left a note behind before taking his own life last week. He had originally madeplans to spend time with a friend on Friday night, but at the last minute, he texted her and told her about a note at his apartment.

His friend and his roommates found the note, which talked about his overall unhappiness and depression.

Blosil's friends told police that he was clean and sober at the time of his death -- but had attempted to commit suicide at least once before.

One of his friends told Us Weekly, "If you were sad, he would be the one to make you feel better. He would find a way to make you laugh. He was there if you needed anything."

Our thoughts are with Marie and the entire Osmond family.
Marie Osmond just suffered the loss of her dear son Michael, but as the old saying goes, the show must go on. Marie and her brother Donny are headed back to Las Vegas to make up for canceled performances.

The duo have added five shows between April 13 and 17 at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino, reports People magazine.

"These were previously unscheduled show dates, added to accommodate guests who had tickets to recently canceled shows due to the personal tragedy in the Osmond family," according to a press release.

They're set to return to the stage on Tuesday, March 9th, following funeral services for her son Michael Bryan.

"I think performing will help the healing process for her," the show's producer, Chip Lightman, recently told People magazine.

Everyone has their own way of dealing with a loss and it looks like Marie's way is to return back to work. Our condolences to the family.

The autopsy for Marie Osmond’s son Michael Blosil has been completed. According to TMZ, the cause of death has been deferred.

Now the family will have to wait until the toxicology report is released in order to know the full extent of his death. As of now, it’s believed Blosil committed suicide. He also left a note behind in his apartment.

The Coroner is now interested in figuring out whether drugs or alcohol contributed to Michael's death. He had struggled with them before, and was in rehab in 2007.

As for Marie, sources tell Entertainment Tonight she is in seclusion, and "is finding solace in her faith and her family.”

Mary Hart added, "You can bet she has loving arms around her. The Osmonds are a very close-knit family and, in times of loss or tragedy, they support each other and really band together as a family, and in love."

Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.
