So apparently we weren't the only ones surprised by the
Mariah Carey and
Nick Cannon wedding--Mimi was too.
Mimi says that was so taken aback by Nick's proposal that she ran away from him. He reportedly proposed while they were on the rooftop of her New York apartment. It was the night the Empire State Building was lit up pink and purple in honor of the release of her album E=MC2.
Cannon says, "She ran away and got all shy." She finally said yes and confirmed she'd marry him during a helicopter flight he had planned shortly after. She recalls, "That was beautiful."
Are we the only ones having a hard time swallowing all this? If they're in love, that's great and all, but it's been 1 month! One month!
