Mariah Carey: Nick Is Like My Mom

We'll be the first to admit we thought the wedding between Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon was nothing more than a PR stunt, but lately they're starting to grow on us.

Mimi gave a really cute interview about how Nick's positive attitude reminds her of her late mother and how it's really changed her for the better.

She says, "When I was a kid there was an ice storm in the suburbs… We went to Manhattan to stay with a friend of my mom's. There was nobody on the road. It was this moment that could've been scary for a kid, but she made it festive.

"That's what Nick is like. He takes the hard part of a situation and makes it celebratory."

Well they certainly lasted longer than we thought. We originally gave the marriage 30 days, but they're going on 4 months. Let's see if they can beat the 2 yr Hollywood marriage curse.
