George Clooney showed up to the New York Film Critics Circle Awards, and charmed everyone as soon as he took the stage.
George was presenting an award for director Wes Anderson, and decided to open up his speech by poking fun at someone who was recently in the press for slurring through an acceptance speech.
That woman would be Mariah Carey! George, referring to Mimi’s Palm Springs festival speech, told the crowd, "I am like Mariah Carey f----d up right now.”
The crowd loved it! George continued to woo the crowd of journalists, saying to them, "I'm the son of a newsman. My father wrote for a paper for 20 years. It's a very difficult, tricky time for most of you in this room right now, as you well know, not because of the economy necessarily but because of all the other issues.
"I still like to read the newspaper. I wish you all the best of luck. I'm a fan of what you do, and I hope you continue to get to do it. And I thank you very much."
It doesn’t take much for us to love George. Check out the video on Popeater.
