Family Confirms Mariah and Nick Cannon Wedding

So apparently Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon really did get hitched. Some random family member of Nick's is talking to the press and she's confirmed that so called wedding we reported on actually did take place.

Linda Cannon said, "Yes, we know. He called us and told us all about it," she said. "We are happy for him. If that is what he wants, then we are happy for him. I'm not going to give you any details, but we are happy for him."

Everything about this union sounds fishy. It reminds me of the time Tom confessed his undying love for Katie on Oprah (who could forget the couch incident?) in order to stir up some controversy. Mimi may have had a shotgun wedding just to keep the press talking. What do you guys think? Sounds like someone’s trying to sell some albums.
