A highly anticipated and highly secretive two-hour season finale of Desperate Housewives wrapped the series up in a bow last night. The finale offered a glimpse into the women’s future a la flash forward.
(Spoiler Alert: if you don’t want to find out what happens, stop reading!)
It turns out everyone leaves Wisteria Lane.

There’s this thing called type casting where if Eva Longoria goes to an audition, the casting director might say “Ahhh, you look like you could play a suburban housewife and seduce a much younger gardener, but you definitely cannot play any other part. NEXT!”
That’s what the cast is afraid of happening to them once their show ends. Remember Ross from “Friends?” Exactly.

Marcia’s rep confirmed the news to People magazine today, saying, “He is currently under treatment and is responding very well.”
Marcia and Tom have been married since 2006, and have twin daughters, Eden and Savannah, who are 23 months old.
What a tough thing to be going through. It seems like they just started their life together. We hope for a full recovery for Tom. No further details have been released regarding his illness at this time.

This comes just 19 months after Marcia gave birth to twins Eden and Savannah. She's 46 years old, and wants more children but feels it will be difficult and possibly dangerous to conceive naturally.
She tells Ok! Magazine, "I would always adopt. I fell like time is the issue for me."
Well, there are so many celebrities who have adopted recently, that it seems to be the trend these days for older women. Either that, or pop fertility pills and have twins, like she already did!

Marcia Cross is a proud mother of two beautiful twin girls. People usually spend their honeymoon doing the dirty, but Marcia Cross admits that she skipped her honeymoon to get pregnant.
Marcia, 40, was desperate to get pregnant time was definitely not on her side, on her behalf so she didn’t go on her honeymoon so she can start fertilization treatments.
She said: "We decided to skip our honeymoon and try in vitro after the wedding. I had already been through infertility treatments.
"It's very, very difficult to get pregnant in your 40s. It's costly and tough on your body and your relationship."
Getting pregnant at an older age makes things so non-romantic. There’s no story to tell your kids about how they were conceived. It’s gonna be, “well mommy and daddy loved each other so mommy went to the doctor to get a lot of shots.” Romantic, no?

It's awesome to see actors out doing their part while the strike is still in full swing. Marcia Cross joined several prominent Congresswomen to lobby for the Breast Cancer Patient Protection Act of 2007.
The bill mandates that women have the right to spend at least 48 hours in the hospital after having a mastectomy. Currently many women are forced by their insurance providers to be sent home the very same day. The bill has been languishing in congress for almost a dozen years.
"One in eight women are diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime," Cross said. "I've seen it up close and personally. I'm sorry to say I don't have a friend, but friends who've been diagnosed with breast cancer, and when I first heard about drive-by mastectomies I was shocked."

One thing that these not so “Desperate Housewives” had in common at the Emmy’s is that they all shined on the red carpet. All four women looked fabulous walking the carpet.
As usual, Eva Longoria looked gorgeous. She was wearing a backless knee length sequined dress by Kaufman Franco.
Marcia Cross looked classy, sexy and elegant in a Georges Chakra nude color gown.
Felicity Huffman was wearing the HOT color of the night; Fuchsia! Her sexy dress was designed by David Meister.
Naturally, since Teri Hatcher is the new spokesperson for Badgley Mischka she was wearing a dress designed by the fabulous duo. Fortunately for Teri, anything with a Badgley Mischka label always looks fabulous.

Desperate Housewives new season is coming to television soon and the promotional commercials and ads are in high gear. The commercial has even got the sweet Marcia Cross looking absolutely sexy. I’m a TV junkie so I watch the cheesy show so I can’t wait for the new season.

Wisteria Lane is ready for a gay couple according to creator Marc Cherry. That is why he is prepping to introduce two gay men to the show who will move into the old Applewhite house.
The new characters will have beef with their neighbor Susan(Terri Hatcher). This is a plot line that he has based on his own life experience.
He says, "They will move into the old Applewhite house and one of the gay men will just have a fractious, hateful relationship with (Susan). And Susan wants to be so politically correct and show how open-minded she is and she puts her foot in her mouth instantly and it goes downhill from there. I'm basing it a little bit on my relationship with my neighbors."
At this point we don’t know who the new additions will be, as he has just started to write them in.

In non-Britney news, 'Desperate Housewives' star Marcia Cross just welcomed twin girls, Eden and Savanneh, into the world.
"Mother and babies are all doing well," says Cross's rep, Heidi Slan. Cross had been on bed rest since January, but producers of her ABC hit brought production to her home for some scenes.
Congrats to Cross and her husband Tom Mahoney.
