Maksim Chmerkovskiy is back on Dancing With The Stars! For now, anyway. Sources say Derek Hough has temporarily left the competition due to being sick, and Maks will be replacing him while he’s out.
On Thursday, Hough wrote on Twitter: "I think I'm getting the [flu]," he wrote, noting "serious sweats . . . My whole body is aching like crazy I can barely stand up . . . And I'm coughing like crazy."
He later added: "Had a temperature of 104 . . . Had an IV in my arm for 2 hrs . . . Maks is steppin up for me helpin jo . . "
He was of course talking about his partner Joanna Krupa. We’re happy to see Maksim back in action, after he was sadly eliminated last week. But we’re sure Karina Smirnoff isn’t too thrilled about the latest development.
