Breakups are never easy, and they're especially difficult when every detail of the split is splashed across every tabloid.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy knows first hand what it feels like to have his breakup make headlines, but as he told
Hollyscoop, he's finally at a point where he's happy.
Maksim and
Karina Smirnoff made headlines back in September after they abruptly called off their engagement. Karina told
Hollyscoop she's "
happy to be single," and it looks like Maksim is singing a similar tune.
"I'm single and I'm happy," Maksim told
Hollyscoop at the MTV Los Premios 09 awards in Los Angeles.
So now that he's single and back on the market, what kind of girl is Maksim looking for? "I know what is not my type of girl at this point...somebody who is not career oriented only," he said.
"I want the best of both worlds, I’m career oriented person but I want family and I want to be a teammate with my significant other," he added.
With a bod like that and his million-dollar smile, we're sure he won't have a hard time finding some arm candy.
