Forget the dancing, “Dancing With The Stars” pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy wants to ditch his dancing shoes to become a “star!”
Following in the footsteps of “DWTS” alumni Julianne Hough, Maksim has been bitten by the acting bug.
Maksim has already announced that this is to be his last season as a pro on the hit dancing show and he tells Hollyscoop at the launch of the Beverly Hills Lifestyle Magazine that he doesn’t see how the transition from dancer to actor should be too hard.
“It’s a skill…it’s definitely a lot of work but it’s fun. It’s something new, but we [as dancers] are used to training, we’re used to learning a skill and I can’t wait to acquire a new one, I hope I’ll be good at it.”
Of course Maksim has seen his fair share of celebs as his dance partner, but once he breaks into film, he’ll have a new world of famous faces to star opposite.
“I think at the moment I’m just hoping somebody would want me to be their costar,” he tells us, “Right now, I’m not in a position to pick and choose.”
Well, we personally can’t wait. We could think of a romantic comedy or two that could benefit from a hunky Ukrainian that can shake his hips!
