The actors are expecting their second child, Gyllenhaal's rep confirms. The couple married in 2009, and Gyllenhaal says motherhood took her by surprise the first time around.
"I just didn't have a clue," she said. "There's no way to prepare for the challenges, the immense joys, the surprises, the disappointments and the shocks."
Not sure what "disappointments" she's referring to. Probably the death of your social life that inevitably happens when you pop out a kid or two. Those little people ruin everything. Just kidding.
Gyllenhaal continued: "Your heart just rips open. It's amazing."

Warner Bros. has released the first teaser poster for the third and last Batman film to be directed by Inception’s Christopher Nolan. In the poster, the Batman signal appears atop the rubble that has become Gotham City.
It’s been the most interesting snippet we’ve heard about this movie since Anne Hathaway and Marion Cotillard were announced to be in it. And speaking of beautiful female leads, Nolan has made some interesting choices for his dark versions of the Batman story...

The Batman star and Peter, who have a 2 year old daughter together, got married in an intimate ceremony in Italy over the weekend. The ceremony took place at a chapel in Brindisi and celebrity guests like Reese Witherspoon and Maggie's brother Jake Gyllenhaal were there to help the couple celebrate their special day.
"We are happy to confirm that Maggie and Peter were married on Saturday, May 2," the actress's rep said in a statement to People.
The couple has been dating since 2002, after Jake introduced them. They welcomed their daughter Ramona back in 2006.

"I hate it when Peter does a love scene," says Gyllenhaal in the August issue of Britain's Tatler. "He's very understanding – it doesn't seem to bother him [when I do one]."
"I'd hate it [if he was doing it]," she says. "I'd put up with it, I'd understand, but I wouldn't like it."
It’s already hard enough to maintain a real relationship in Hollywood, so seeing the man you love make out with another woman must sting.

A-list celebs like Madonna, Angelina Jolie and Cher have all designed kites for charity. The special kites, which will be auctioned off on eBay next month, will help raise money for the Afghanistan Relief Organization (AFO), which will be used to train new teachers and construct libraries in Afghanistan.
Other celebs that helped design kites were 'James Bond' star Daniel Craig, Benicio Del Toro, Billy Bob Thornton, Halle Berry, Edward Norton, Reese Witherspoon, Jessica Biel, Kate Winslet, Will Ferrell and Maggie and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Remember a few months back when we told you that Maggie Gyllenhaal was going to pose for Agent Provocateur? Well low and behold the final outcome.
I'll be the first to admit that Gyllenhaal was the last person I'd ever consider for the sexy lingerie line but she certainly pulls off classy sexy very well--in a photoshopped kind of way of course.

What's the lingerie world coming to? It's just been reported that new mother Maggie Gyllenhaal will be the new spokesmodel for the sexy lingerie line Agent Provocateur.
Gyllenhaal will appear in videos for the British company's online advertising campaign. Last year, Kate Moss' appearance in an Agent Provocateur short movie was such a big hit, the company's website crashed.
Gyllenhaal is way too 'girl next door' for this, they had a sea of models/actresses to pick from, I can't for the life of me figure out why they choose her. What do you guys think? Do you guys think she's 'sexy' enough to pull off Agent Provocateur?

At any red carpet event there's always those who shine and those who are outshined. This years shining ladies had to be Penelope Cruz, Rachel Weisz, Jennifer Lopez and Maggie Gylenhaal. The ladies that should fire their stylists are wanna be flapper Kirsten Dunst, "The Devil Wears Nada" Meryl Streep, "Gift Wrapped" Anne Hathaway, and "Big Panther" Kelly Preston.
