If you thought the Madonna baby adoption drama was over, think again! The pop diva is set to play a tug of war with an Australian couple over a Malawian baby girl. As we had mentioned last week, Madge was set to adopt another child this time she had her heart set on a Malawian baby girl.
According to Closer magazine Madonna and hubby Guy Ritchie had planned to return to Malawi for the girl, but a Christian missionary couple from Australia has already begun adoption proceedings. Madonna had first set her sights on 18-month-old orphan Jessica Kondanani when she decided to adopt a Malawian child. But Madonna shifted gears when she discovered little David Banda, the 13-month-old boy she took home to London. "Her first choice, before David, was a baby girl called Jessica Kondanani," said Penstone Kilembe, Malawi's minister of child welfare.
Then the Australian couple fell for little Jessica. "We heard that Madonna was interested in a child, who we now hear is Jessica - but we are quite far down the line with our adoption," said Angela Wilmot, 34. According to the UK Sun as of now Madonna's reps have no comment.
