Madonna's Tour Crew To Walk Out On Her?

Madonna better watch out, or she may not have any back-up dancers for her next show!

Her Sticky & Sweet tour crew is reportedly fuming at Madge over recent travel arrangements while on the road. While Madonna flies in private jets and checks herself into sprawling mansions, members of her crew are forced to fly commercial and stay in cheap hotels.

They feel that they are being treated by second-class citizens by her, despite all their hard work during the past few months.

What do these people expect?? For Madonna to cook them family-style meals at the castle every night? It's freaking Madonna, people!

She's 50 years old and it's surprising enough that she's even touring like she is at her age, let alone having all the backup dancers that go with her routine.

If they really think she's about to befriend all of them and treat them like they're on her level, they're crazy!

in reply to scott...are u in the touring biz? Didn't think so. I am, and would be booking myself a ticket home if the conditions were what I believe they are. Chris has confirmed what I thought was going on. Touring now is about shaving costs, bean counting and maximizing production. Grab more sheckles. I have been on tours like this and it has been in my experience that the decisions being made to save are done on the upper levels of management who aren't putting in the 12-15 20 hr. days. Even if they are, it is a lot different to stand in the hot summer sun doing physical labour vs. a air-conditioned trailer. Scott please, paying their dues? Do you believe that a production of this size are put together by newbies? These guys are some of the best in the biz. Where Madonna was before in her career and where she stayed 20 years ago is irrelevant. Today is the problem. Right now. Management is probably hoping this will work itself out and might wait 'til it comes to a head or somebody gets seriously injured or killed, who knows and let's hope it doesn't come to that. Re scheding one show and let these guys get some rest is possible. It would happen if Madonna got sick, is it worth a life to find out if a crew member got killed. I wouldn't want that on me. You say you'll bet anything that nobody walks... hey chris, how does a years touring pay sound? I'll take a $250,000 bet Scott. You up for it? Put your money where your mouth is. Chris gets a years pay to walk, I fly Chris home via private jet and limo to the house. BTW Chris, nobody has a gun to your head right? Nobody is forcing you to sleep 3 hrs. a day. It is your choice to do it. Save your PD's and leave if your broke and can't buy a ticket home. Otherwise, work slower and sleep longer. I'm sure Production would be more than happy to get you a ticket home Good Luck PS. I doubt Madonna has anything to do with this but that doesn't mean she is guilt free.

I work for the madonna tour on her current tour now and it is not the hotel accomadations at all. It is that every day is between 16 and 32 hours straight. No days off in months. Very little concern for safety or anything else but money for them. We don't want 5 star hotels every night just a day to rest every once in a while. Every other tour gives you that. This is ridiculous. People are forced to sleep 3 hours if that every night for weeks they get sick and make mistakes. Management does not care. What does a missing finger cost? Few dozen tickets?

So check this one out fans....Madonna’s infamous Bedtime Stories pajama party at Webster Hall NYC in the Mid-'90s.Brought out of storage just recently. As a whole, the bed frame has not been cleaned, painted or altered, in any way since it held Madonna for the last time in 1995.I think that someone must really be interested in this so CHECK IT OUT ON EBAY!!!

Well, when musicians travel on the "luxury tour bus" do they leave the band members behind riding in the school bus? NO. So I can see how the crew would expect better treatment. As far as they're concerned - they're as much of the show as she is! Granted, she does the singing - but there are back up singers and dancers doing the same crap she's doing on stage. Of course they are ONLY the hired help - but geez Madonna, don't be so damn greedy - you can't take the freakin' money with you when you drop dead - so why not splurge on your employees? Maybe drum up some good karma for yourself. You do a tour every few years - it's not like these people get fringe benefits and bonuses on a yearly basis. This shouldn't surprise anyone though - she treated her family like second rate as well (and that's blood).

All of you who are saying she has so much money she should be putting the crew up in the best accomodations...are simply living in a fog. Madonna herself, when she was starting out but still the headliner had much worse accomodations than these poor chaps. They need to pay their dues, and I will bet anything not a one of them will walk out..please this will most likely be the highlight of their careers

Madona, quit pissing on your crew, they work hard. They deserve 5 star hotels, proper buses and proper flights. I assume you dont have a gun to their head or they are slave labour. I know they are the best in the touring business and deserve better. Of course, they are the ones that hang the 100+lb lights over your head and pin together the stage that now makes you millions. Hard to justify the money savings if they don't get a good night sleep, wake up to setup your show and forget to double check that the light won't fall or the stage fails...won't ever happen but if your an a list artist, you need an a list crew. Period. Try putting on a stadium tour with kids out of roadie school. Think of the savings...just don't stand under anything they put up or on anything the built. Good luck with that.

Hello, I think we can all remember what Madonna has been saying since the Blonde Ambition tour in 1990- she's the boss. And I agree with her. Her crew has jobs because people want to see her perform. I highly doubt they are treated like crap, it's probably just not the same level as Madonna, and who the heck would even expect to be?

i love all her kaballah bullsh*t and her adopting the little boy. she never sees the kid. he is of course raised by nannies and staff. and she learned nothing from kaballah. she still treats everyone else like utter sh*t. and she looks like skeletor's tranny brother. gross.
