Madonna's H&M Collection Disappoints

Madonna

There was big fuss surrounding Madonna's "fashion" collection for H&M. Unfortunately, all the big fuss left people disappointed once they actually saw the collection.

Interestingly enough, when designers like Stella McCartney or Karl Lagerfeld designed for H&M the clothes went flying off the ranks in less than an hour.

According to focus group feedback, the “range looked cheap and there was a move to limit the launch to just accessories.” But the big bosses wanted to avoid any confrontation with Madonna so just went ahead with the launch.

THis is so untrue and you two are crazy, Madonna is a fashion Icon and according to H&M and the news the line is doing very well. Its just the start there will be more items added to the line. You to are just queens on the rag.

I saw Madonna's publicity machine trying to make like people were stampeding to H&M to get her junk, er, clothes. Well, I'm in NYC and I haven't read ONE story about people getting excited about her clothes. H & M has cheap quality, fad-y clothes that are unimpressive. I'm not surprised. Madonna is so yesterday.

"Interestingly enough, when designers like Stella McCartney or Karl Lagerfeld designed for H&M the clothes went flying off the ranks in less than an hour." Hm, but what you fail to mention (and this is a verifiable fact) is that these were limited, one-off collections. Once they were gone off the rack, they weren't replenished. That isn't the case with Madonna's collection which is being stocked like any other item the store normally carries.

She didn't pay attention to the craftsmanship or quality of the clothing - it all looks very cheap and nasty. When will this greedy woman ever stop? Shes so dull

Funny I guess Madonn paid all them people to be standing outside H&M stores all over the world and gave them cash to walk out the store with bags of clothes. Madonna is not the Queen of cheap she is offering a line that most can afford not just wish they could have.

Madonna's clothes for H&M are simply fantastic. They are practical, chic and classic. I would feel very comfortable wearing her clothes unlike the garish stuff from past designers like stella mc cartney. Would you choose Madonna's classic leather trench or stella's weird balloon shaped one?

I saw the oline yesterday and have to say I was very disappointed. It did look slightly cheap and they didn't have half the collection there anyway. I wanted a certain dress and they had this awful, patterned version instead - there were only about 4-5 items on sale.

MADONNA rules the World, except this sad little country. And whatever she does IS a big deal, whether you like it or not. To all the rest of you who don't realize that: go buy a CD of a "singer" Paris Hilton, watch a movie with an "actress" Lindsay Lohan, and dress like a "fashion icon" Hillary Duff. [No wonder the rest of the world thinks you're consumerist trash, and so are your "products."]

Honestly look at it with a perpective - shes and artis based in effect. the effect of her image is really not based on clothes its just one of the many facets of this icon. Shes great! leave her alone - anyone who thinks shes yesterday was obviously not born until after 1987 the year madonna was so effective in AIDS research and really going global! ok enough enjoy the trend - realize her importance and ill get off my soapbox ok?
