Looks like the Madonna adoption drama can finally be put to rest. The adoption case brought on by a coalition of human rights groups desperate to stop the pop stars adoption of Malawian baby David Banda has been adjourned. An alliance of 67 groups is challenging the interim adoption order granted to the singer last month. Madonna denies she used her wealth and influence to speed up the adoption process.
In the meantime Madonna could rest assure that another celebrity has praised her efforts. U2 lead singer BONO has come to the pop singers defense and insists to critics that she did the right thing adopting David Banda. According to the UK Sun Bono said, “Madonna should be applauded for helping to take a child out of the worst poverty imaginable and giving him a better chance in life. Baby David is lucky to have been adopted by someone who can give him a chance of survival in this world and I don’t think it’s fair that people are criticizing her.”
In other Madonna news, it seems like the singer is planning on taking on her husbands job and is set to direct a movie. Since her acting career was a complete flop, she's planning on making her mark in Hollywood behind the scenes. The pop princess revealed, "You can say very little from a political point of view as an actress. The visionary in a film is the filmmaker, so if I want to make an impact with a film, then I should direct one, not act in one." Madonna also admitted that she has the full support of her hubby Guy Ritchie adding, "We've had discussions about it and he's encouraged me to direct."
