Madonna Vs. David's Biological Dad

June 04, 2008

Madonna
Madonna's adoption of little David is final, but now she has to deal with his biological father, who wants visitation rights with him. After twenty months in court, the adoption was finalized last month, granting adoption of David to Madonna. But Yohane Banda claims government officials had promised him visitation every three to four years as part of the agreement. And he is planning on doing something about the situation.

He said, "I love the boy and it was in his best interests to put him in the orphanage. Because I support the adoption I would not want to put up a challenge that would reverse it, but I might challenge some aspects of the order. I am discussing with my family about following up on having access to the child. We will not leave things the way they are - we will do something about it."

Something tells us Madonna will win this battle. But if she has a heart, she'll pay for David's father to see him from time to time.

The only reason Mr. Malawi wants access to his son is so he can be close to Madonna's money. He has already stated as much by saying that it is traditional for an adopted child to "remember" his biological family and help them when he is older. If Mr. Malawi has money to hire a lawyer and cause all this ruckus for Madonna he should have had enough money to be able to keep and support his son. He chose to give his son up for adoption and by doing so gave up all parental rights. As David Banda was adopted by a famous celeb his father is in the unique situation of being able to see pictures of his son and hear how he is doing through the press. There is no reason to visit the child every few years. The man gave the child up and Madonna offered little David a loving home. Mr. Malawi should go away and leave the poor child alone once and for all. BTW I'm not a Madonna fan but it is obvious that she is a good mother. David is in good hands.

Darolo, why do you profess to knowing all here and then question what is true. You are a fucking idiot.

Madonna and Guy will make sure that David is aware of and familiar with his roots in Malawi through their connection with the charity Raising Malawi and through visits to the country. However David knows Guy as his 'daddy' and as a fellow member of The Kabbalah Centre in London I can testify that David is extremely attached to his 'daddy'. Whilst I am all in favour of regular updates on David being sent to Yohane, his biological father, I have serious reservations over David visiting at present. He is after all not yet 3 years old! How do you explain to a child of that age that he has another father? I feel that visits should be delayed until David is old enough to understand the situation so avoiding confusing a happy and well-adjusted child. The family also learn vocabulary in Chechewa (David's) native language. I am sure Yohane is a good man. However, he re-married last year and in doing so he took on his new wife's child from a previous realtionship. His new bride was also pregnant with Yohane's baby (which she unfortunately miscarried). Apparently Yohane was in a relationship with this woman before Madonna and Guy brought David to England. If that is true why did he not remove David from the orphanage to live with his soon-to-be new wife and his soon-to-be other TWO children? I would like to think he thought the adoption would be in DAVID'S best interest so I feel sure that similarly in David's best interests Yohane will wait a little while longer before wanting to see his son who now has a great future. Judging by Madonna's movie 'I Am Because We Are' David would not have had had a futurehe not been removed from the orphanage at that time.
