Madonna The Grinch

Madonna may be best known as the 'Material Girl' but she's anything but generous when it comes to Christmas. Her director hubbie Guy Richie revealed that Madonna stopped Christmas at their home years ago.

Richie said, "We cancelled Christmas a few years ago. And ever since we stopped the presents, we are actually enjoying it."

He said that they enjoy a really low-key holiday season every year. I'm sure her kids gets presents all the time but not having any kind of festivities during the holidays is such a bore.

fyi - yes madonna was slutty, kinky and unconventional. Yes I agree that children do change your outlook on life. But it's like she's trying to right every wrong in her life by making her children "perfect" in a sense. She is trying to control every influence in their lives. She's become strict and is very much a control freak. She must have a very selective memory about what she was like growing up. She's influenced half the kids in the 80's and 90's with her "antics" but now she wants to shield her children?!

Why am I not surprised. Poor kids, it must be difficult going back to school afterwards and hearing all your friends talk about how magical their Christmas was. Christmas is so commercialised now, you don't need to believe in God to celebrate it. Well, the Ritchi family is probably sucking on their kabbahlah water over the holidays! Enjoy!

I think its great that they celebrate Christmas without the gift giving. I think these kind of values will ensure good mannerisms in the future. The world has enough spoiled brat celebrities. Behind closed doors I think regardless of her past both Madonna & Guy are excellent parents. Not perfect-but solid and stable.

So my family also did the same thing. We don't get so carried away with the gift buying. We give to just a few people instead of the whole family. It does not make her a bad person. I sure she gives gifts to her kids, and I sure she does something, but she does not go crazy with the holiday season.
