Just when you thought you were done hearing about the Madonna-Hydrangeas incident, more details emerge! Madonna hates every sort of plant life! Kidding! Keep reading!
Madonna just released a youtube video called "Madonna's love letter to hydrangeas" which is her attempt to make fun of the situation.
In case your internet and TV died for all of last week or you're one of those boring people that do "accounting" and like egg salad sandwiches, let me briefly explain the "Hydrangeas Incident."
Madonna was promoting her directorial debut for the film W.E. at the Venice Film Festival and during a press conference a male fan went up to Madonna and handed her a bouquet of flowers. But these weren't any old flowers, these were Hydrangeas! The Satan of flowers! How dare he?!
Madonna took the bouquet and turned to W.E star Andrea Riseborough and said, "I absolutely loath hydrangeas," not realizing her mic was on and then said, "He obviously doesn't know that."
Madonna's rep Liz Rosenberg told US Weekly, "the hydrangea incident is so ridiculous...It's not like she said she hated warm chocolate chip cookies and milk and little puppies!"
So anyways, apparently this incident won’t die because Madonna just released a short youtube video that plays out like a silent film where Madonna expresses her regret and her deep condolences towards the flower.
"You have no idea how many nights I have lost thinking how I hurt you. Words cannot express how sorry I am," Madonna silently weeps in the video as she cries into a bouquet of flowers, "To think I may have caused you pain. My heart is going to burst with sadness. I need to know in time you may forgive me."
While some sad silent-movie type music plays, Madonna continues to grieve and the subtitles continue, "If I could take back my words I would, but I can't, so what am I left with?"
Then, just when you thought Madonna had reached ultimate nirvana, she changes her tone suddenly and continues, "I'm left with the fact that I still hate hydrangeas! And I will always hate them! It's a free country! So f-ck you, I like roses!"
And in only a few words, Madonna proves that she really hates hydrangeas and she ain’t sorry 'bout it.
Despite the fact that she doesn't really apologize, the video is still kind of funny. Congratulations to whatever assistant of Madonna's actually made that video.
