Madonna Set To Adopt Baby Girl

Madonna

Madonna's reps are denying it but reports claim the pop diva is on her way to adopt another child from Malawi. The UK Sun is reporting that Madonna "set her heart" on adopting a three year old Malawian girl after watching video footage of her playing in an orphanage. A source reveal, "Madonna saw a film of children at a place called The Consol Home. She spotted a beautiful girl called Grace who lit the room with her smile, and fell head over heels for her. Madonna kept saying, 'That girl has so much love in her. I want to help her achieve her potential'".

But adoption officials are being very strict after the uproar that was caused when Madonna adopted David. They know Grace is her first choice, but have insisted she looks at other girls first and that the final decision is theirs.

Although Madonna is currently recording with Justin Timberlake, she is set to fly to Malawi on Sunday with David, Lourdes and Rocco. Hubby Guy Ritchie is not expected to join them. The idea of adopting a girl is not new for Madonna, it has been longing in her head reveals one pal, "It was always Madonna's intention to adopt two orphans from Malawi a boy and a girl.

Its great what Madonna is doing and helping these children by providing a new life, but we just hope her good gesture doesn’t get as much heat as it did last time. It almost seems like Madonna and Angelina are competing for the most adopted children.

Oh, please, someone stop these people from taking African children from their homeland. This is getting out of hand!!! No one is impressed with Madonna anymore. We don't care about her!!! I am disgusted with all these rich Americans going to poor countries and stealing their children. Hell, all the poor white trash in foster care in this country are in need of homes too...lots of crystal meth babies born in trailer parks are in need of good homes too. I am sick of all these people. I wish my people would rise together to complain about the continued exploitation of an entire continent. Oh, I am SO ready for the flames folks. Bring it, baby!!!

I have heard that it can difficult to adopt foster children in this country who are below the age of 7 or so -- perhaps depending on the state and its foster care system. Also, there have been lots of documented cases in which birth-relatives return, wanting to get the child back (just as it's not uncommon for birthmothers to change their minds after giving birth, about placing their children for adoption; I know of 2 such cases, personally). ALSO, adopting foster children can be very difficult, perhaps depending on the state in which one lives: We know of more than one case where adoption efforts dragged on for years and years, and/or the prospective parents couldn't even get that far, due to various bureaucratic hurdles. Why begrudge ANYONE from giving a home to, and making a family with, a needy orphan from anywhere, be it here or from another country? Younger children are in need of homes all over the world, and the finalization/legalization of the adoptions are more secure, overall, it seems (given some of the above factors). My spouse and I are in the process of adopting. No offense, but I think people who don't know anything about such things, other than hearsay, should do more research before mouthing off in such a hostile manner.
