Madonna Makes Adoption Plea to Newspaper

Madonna believes the judge in her adoption case made a big mistake by rejecting her adoption of Mercy James, so she's making a plea to the Malawi newspaper.

Madonna, 50, told the Malawian newspaper the Nation in an email: "I want to provide Mercy with a home, a loving family environment and the best education and healthcare possible."

"And it's my hope that she, like David, will one day return to Malawi and help the people of their country."

In a statement from her rep to CNN, Madonna further stated, "Though I have been advised that I cannot publicly discuss the pending appeal regarding my desire to adopt Mercy, I do want to say how much I appreciate the level of support that I have received from the people of Malawi and my friends around the world."

She's already proven herself as a loving, caring mother to David, so we were shocked when her adoption of Mercy James was rejected. While some felt that she was using her celebrity status to speed up the adoption process, the truth of the matter is she can give Mercy James a life she could only ever dream of if she remains in Malawi.

Madonna has already filed an appeal and is even considering purchasing a home in Malawi to prove that she's devoted to this adoption. What are your thoughts about it? Did the judge make a mistake by rejecting her adoption?

There are thousands of children with NO FAMILY here in her own country that need a home, health care, and education. Why don't she and Angie adopt kids in need from the U.S.? Quit collecting kids like tokens and taking them away from their own culture and families to place them into your dysfunctional lifestyles with absolutly NO stability and No REAL home?
