Big stars gathered for the annual amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Benefit in Cannes yesterday, and Madonna was one of the presenters for the auction. She auctioned off her own black alligator Chanel bag with 334 diamonds, which was also the bag she carried to last night's event.
On stage, she told bidders they could win not only the bag, but everything in it as well: lip balm, mirror, throat lozenges, Shu Uemura blotting paper, and lip gloss which Madge noted that it had actually touched her lips. She said the one thing the winner couldn't have though was her BlackBerry, because "it's too expensive for you."
Madonna knows that she could get away with anything that's why she pushes it as much as she can. So now one really rich dude has Madonna's Chanel bag and lip balm and all it cost him was $471,000.
