Madonna Gets Ink In Honor of Shot Pakistani Girl Malala
Madonna has never been afraid to voice her opinion and now she’s using it to bring attention to the plight of 14-year-old Pakistani girl, Malala Yousafzai, who was shot twice in the head by the Taliban for being an activist for women’s education.

During Madonna’s recent concert at the Staples Center in LA, Madonna stripped down in honor of Malala during her set. I know what you’re thinking, how is a strip tease supposed to bring attention to Malala? It’s what Madonna was stripping down to show off that mattered.

Madonna turned around to reveal the name “Malala” temporarly inked across her back and educated her audience about the girl.

“This hurt me and made me cry, a 14-year-old Pakistani girl was shot on the school bus for writing a blog how important education was. Do you understand the sickness of this and do you recognize how lucky you are?” Madonna told her fans at the concert.

Some are saying Madonna’s strip-tease stunt wasn’t the best way to highlight Malala’s struggle, but either way, Madonna brought attention to it.

The latest update on Malala is that she has been flown to the U.K. for medical treatment as she is still in critical condition. The Taliban claims that Malala was “promoting secularism” by advocating education for girls.

Malala first gained attention when she was only 11 for writing a blog for BBC Urdu about living under Taliban rule. She received death threats for expressing her opinions.

Last week she was heading home from school on the bus when two armed men singled her out and fired at her head.
