Madonna: Friend or Foe to the Environment?

The Queen of Pop will headline the Live Earth concert in London tonight. Madonna is getting some heat because technically she will help raise money to protect the environment from herself.

"Madonna has invested about $2.7 million in companies that are creating the destruction that Live Earth is trying to raise awareness about," Fox reported yesterday. "She has invested in several companies named as the biggest corporate polluters in the world."

Before you claim Fox is cutting up stories, I strongly suggest you closely analyze all the "Global Warming" data, peeps. 9 out of 10 "data points" they claim they're using, including Mr. Gore's used in his book/movie, are merely snippets of time either on a specific glacier or few years. If you look at the official, wider data, as I HAVE on some of these studies generated by the almighty UN, the overall trends in globe temps are a continuing cycle that shows: yes, the globe's warming but it has warmed more in the past and then cooled. In a shell, you can't say evidence is out there that the world is about to implode. The UN and their buds are picking and choosing what numbers to make public so they can get your money, plain and simple.

Am with you on that Muffy, I hate Madonna's voice. I knew for a long time that she was a hypocrite of the biggest kind, so no news there. And for all those people who are against hummers: For your information, using a patio heater for four hours produces the same amount of carbon dioxide as a hummer in an average day.

OK, so let's stipulate that Madonna is among "the worst offenders." I repeat: It's still not OK to drive a Hummer Don't let the Fox story (which may just be a hatchet job that distorts the facts) soothe you into believing that it's now OK to live a planet-destroying lifestyle.

I'm no fan of Madonna but ... I just know Fox News is attacking her to make light of the reason for the Live Earth concerts. Don't be an ignoramus, don't buy into the insinuation that because Madge is (perhaps) a bit of a hypocrite, then we shouldn't care about our planet. It's still not OK to drive a Hummer.
