Earlier this week Madonna's rep shocked the world by
releasing divorce details to the Associated Press. Liz Rosenberg told The Associated Press the settlement was in the range of 50 million to 60 million pounds ($76 million to $92 million).
She even went on to say, "I'd assume it's one of the largest payouts ever in a divorce settlement."
Those comments have obviously pissed off a couple of people because
Madonna and Guy have jointly released a statement claiming that Madges rep was BS-ing.
The joint statement released today reads, "We have tried to maintain a dignified silence regarding the details of our divorce for the last few months whilst accepting the obvious media interest.
"A misleading and inaccurate statement, specifically in relation to the sums of money involved, was wrongly issued to AP this week.
"The financial details of the settlement will remain private, save to say that both of us are happy with our agreement. Our primary concern, like any co-parents, is the care and well being of our children."
So we don't understand, why would Liz Rosenberg release all that info if she wasn't supposed to? We smell something fishy! Liz is an experienced rep, she knows exactly what to do to make her clients look good. What do you guys think? Did she release it the info on purpose?
