This Madonna baby drama doesn’t look like its gonna come to an end anytime soon. The biological father of Madonna’s new child David has slammed indignant rights groups trying to abort the adoption process. Malawi's Human Rights Consultative Committee (CHRR), a coalition of about 40 organizations, launched a legal challenge to the adoption on Tuesday, insisting rules had been bent because its was a celebrity. Usually prospective parents are required to stay with the child in Malawi for 18 to 24 months before adoption is approved.
However, one-year-old David Banda's dad Yohane insists their concern is misplaced. He says, "Where were these people when David was struggling in the orphanage? These so-called human rights groups should leave my baby alone.
"Orphanage life is no good. We leave kids there because we can't look after them properly ourselves. Now my son has been taken by a kind-hearted woman, these people want to bring him back to the orphanage."
David is currently living in London with Madonna. He will be monitored by Malawian officials over a period of 18 months before the adoption is finalized. In the meantime check out the latest issue of Hello! magazine, there is a seven page article inside about Madonna and Guy's trip to Malawi and the adoption of David with lots of previously unpublished pictures.
