All of the main characters from the original film return in his hilarious comedy, where they find themselves in the wildest place of all – the vast plains of Africa – where the zoo-raised crew encounter species of their own kind for the very first time. While discovering their roots, they quickly find the differences between the concrete jungle and the heart of Africa. Despite long-lost relatives, romantic rivals and scheming hunters, Africa seems like a great place...but is it better than their home in New York?
Speaking about the movie, DreamWorks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg told Hollyscoop, "I think people love these characters, they're so funny. The idea that these urban New Yorkers have to back to the wild and try to make it on their own is something we can all relate to. It's the ultimate fish out of water."
Hollyscoop correspondent Brian Corsetti was on the red carpet for the movie premiere where we caught up with the stars of the flick. Interviews and appearances by Ben Stiller, Andy Richter, Sherri Shepherd, Fergie, Sumner Redstone, Will Smith and Jeffrey Katzenberg among others.
Check out our exclusive movie premiere coverage below, and don't forget to catch the flick in theaters on November 7, 2008, or else Tom Lister Jr. will come after you!
