The fact that incest has been a hot topic this week is pretty disturbing but thanks to Mackenzie Phillips, the subject just won't go away! Mackenzie raised eyebrows when she appeared on Oprah and told the world that she had a 10 year affair with her father, the founder of the 60s band The Mamas and the Papas.

While Mackenzie's stepmother Michelle doubts there's any truth to her claims, her sister Bijou is standing by her and backs the story.

"When I was 13, Mackenzie told me that she had a consensual sexual relationship with our father. This news was confusing and scary, as I lived alone with my father since I was 3," Bijou, 29, says in a statement to Us Weekly.

"I didn't know what to believe, and it didn't help that shortly there after Mackenzie told me it didn't happen. Mackenzie’s history with our father is hers, but also clouded with 30 years of drug abuse.

"I hope she can come to terms with this and find peace," Bijou continues. "The life I had with my father was very different. He was Mr. Mom, encouraging and loving. The man that raised me would never be capable of doing such things, and if he was, it is heartbreaking to me to think that my family would leave me alone with him."

She added, "I understand Mackenzie's need to come clean with a history she feels will help others, but it's devastating to have the world watch as we try and mend broken fences, especially when the man in question isn’t here to defend himself," her statement concludes.

Mackenzie's claims seem a little out there to be fabricated. Who would make something like that up? But than again she has a book to sell. What do you guys think? Do you believe her?
Child star Mackenzie Phillips has a new memoir to promote, which means she's digging up the most scandalous details of the book and discussing it with the press.

Just yesterday we reported that Mackenzie was a guest star on Oprah, where she discussed her excessive drug use and her first experience with cocaine (Her father John Phillips, who was the lead singer of the Mamas and the Papas, shot her up).

And if you thought that was scandalous, wait until you hear what she told People magazine! "Don't hate my father," she started, before going into details about the night she had sex with her own father.

"On the eve of my wedding, my father showed up, determined to stop it," writes Phillips, who was 19 and a heavy drug user at the time. "I had tons of pills, and Dad had tons of everything too. Eventually I passed out on Dad's bed."

"My father was not a man with boundaries. He was full of love, and he was sick with drugs. I woke up that night from a blackout to find myself having sex with my own father.

"Had this happened before? I didn't know. All I can say is it was the first time I was aware of it. For a moment I was in my body, in that horrible truth, and then I slid back into a blackout."

Although she had been a heavy drug user up to this point, it was after her incestuous relationship with her father that her life really spun out of control. She went to rehab--with her father--but shortly after she relapsed again.

She was arrested last year for heroin possession, so it's hard to tell if she's 100% clean now, but at least her sexual relationship with her father, which she once called "consensual" is finally over. This just goes to show you, lifestyles of the rich and famous aren't always as glamorous as you think.
Don't MISS out on Breaking News!
One year after being arrested on possession of heroin, former child star Mackenzie Philips appeared on Oprah today to discuss her problems with drugs, and the disfunction of growing up the daughter of a musician. Her dad is John Phillips, who was the lead singer of the Mamas and the Papas.

Mackenzie has a new memoir coming out this week entitled High On Arrival, which discusses her battle with addiction. She shockingly divulged the following information to Oprah:

"My father shot me up for the first time It seemed to be the next logical progression. I remember going into my room, I was crouched on the floor…He put the needle in my arm and put the plunger in and he missed. He missed the vein and my whole arm went numb."

Mackenzie also says she was seduced by Mick Jagger. She told Oprah, "Mick Jagger locks the door and he says, 'I've been waiting for this since you were 10 years old.'"

Mackenzie’s former TV sister Valerie Bertinelli also stops by. Stay tuned for the big secret Mackenzie is set to unveil, which she’s been holding onto for 31 years!

Details to follow…but in the meanwhile check out the teaser of the interview below...
