The task of ranking the 25 hottest current female athletes relied on the following criteria: popularity, performance and physical appearance. The overriding factor, above all else, was sheer hotness. Athletes that have been active since 2007 were eligible.
25 - Laisa Andrioli
Soccer
This 20-year old bombshell is a member of the Brazilian national soccer team that took second place at the 2007 World Cup. Laisa has received more attention from fans for her looks than her soccer prowess. Absolutely gorgeous, Laisa has posed in several mouth-watering spreads. Apparently clothing is optional in Brazil. Let's just say that if you google Miss Andrioli, make sure there are no kids around.
24 - Ashley Harkleroad
Tennis
When Ashley broke on to the scene in 2000, the expectation was that she would be the next great American tennis player. To this day, she has yet to win a title on the women’s pro tour. Perhaps to counter this lack of on-court success, Ashley announced that she would pose in the August 2008 issue of Playboy. This move will undoubtedly increase her fan base. You know what they say, if you can’t beat 'em, show 'em.
23 - Michelle Wie
Golf
Even though she has yet to win a professional event, Michelle is one of the main draws in women’s golf. After turning pro at the age of 15, Michelle set numerous records, including being the first woman to make the cut at a professional event on the men’s tour. Michelle manages to combine beauty with an innate toughness. She has received some criticism for wearing slightly inappropriate clothing on the course, but really, she shouldn’t have to apologize for flossing her fine figure.
22 - Sue Bird
Basketball
In addition to her sexy girl-next-door image, Sue is a born winner. In college, she led Connecticut to two national championships. After entering the pros, she led the Seattle Storm to the WNBA title in 2004. This beautiful brunette is one of only six women to win a national championship a gold medal, and a WNBA title.
21 - Paula Creamer
Golf
Nicknamed the “Pink Panther” because of her love of the color pink, Paula has clawed her way to the upper echelon of women’s golf. Since turning pro in 2005, this 21-year old blonde has won eight titles. Paula has landed many endorsements because of her success on the course and her striking good looks.
