HOLLYSCOOP EXCLUSIVE
“We were on a BREAK!!!”

In an exclusive interview with David Schwimmer, HOLLYSCOOP asked the actor-turned-director if a possible Friends reunion movie was in the works.

“Not to my knowledge, no. And when I talked to Matt LeBlanc the other day, it’s not to his knowledge either.”

So as much as you’d like to see what Ross and Rachel are up to, it doesn’t look like it’s happening anytime soon. And Schwimmer is fine with that.

He told HS, “I really like how the show ended; I really loved how it ended. I think it was kind of a perfect ending, I cant see any good reason to revisit it."

Here’s a good reason: the millions of fans who would make a Friends reunion flick box office gold!

But David’s been busy with a new role: director. He recently finished working on Trust, a movie starring Clive Owen and Catherine Keener.

“I love directing. I don’t know if I like it more than acting, I really love both, I hope to continue both. It takes a lot longer than acting…I’ve been on [the movie] two and a half years.”

Trust is about a young teenage girl who is targeted by an online predator. The movie’s theme deals with the dangers of technology and more specifically, “parenting in the age of technology,” says Schwimmer.

As for himself, Schwimmer says he loves technology. “I love gadgets…I’m definitely aware though, that I’m watching younger kids socialize in a very different way than I am accustomed to.”

I guess the only online predators Schwimmer has to worry about are the fanatics from Friends fan sites.

And how is the rest of the Friends cast doing?

  • Matt LeBlanc is currently starring in Showtime Episodes, a comedy in which LeBlanc plays himself. And apparently people like the character, because it just got renewed for a second season. Then again, so did Joey.

  • Jennifer Aniston has managed to stay in the public eye, as her latest romantic comedy, Just Go with it came in #1 in its opening weekend, beating out Justin Bieber’s movie. That’s no easy feat. And her hair hasn’t stopped making headlines, either.

  • Courteney Cox continues to star in ABC’s Cougartown and has recently rekindled romance with her estranged husband, David Arquette. Cox reconnected with Arquette publically at a recent premiere of Scream 4.

  • Lisa Kudrow might have played a flighty hippie on Friends, but in real life, she’s all business. Kudrow has become an executive producer for the NBC TV series, Who Do You Think You Are? The show traces the family history of a new celebrity each week. Kudow appeared in the first season along with Susan Sarandon and Sarah Jessica Parker.

  • As for Matthew Perry, he’s returned to the sitcom world as well, shooting twelve episodes of the ABC TV series Mr. Sunshine. In the series, still in its first season, Perry stars as a manager of a failing San Diego sports arena.

  • We might have to wait a few more years for a full-on reunion, but we’re not giving up hope. Aniston’s rom-coms and LeBlancs variations of Joey can only last so long!

In the words of Chandler, we soooo didn’t want to hear this! Former Friends star Lisa Kudrow has put the brakes on the rumor that the cast was planning on coming together for a reunion.

Phoebe was a guest at the P.S. Arts Express Yourself event in Santa Monica this weekend, and sadly put the reunion rumors to rest. "Everyone is busy!" she said.

But Lisa did note that the biggest objectors are the show's original writer-creators Marta Kauffman and David Crane. " I guess they don't think it's a good idea," she said.

Kudrow at least got to see one of her former cast mates recently, however. She just shot an episode of Cougar Town, which stars Courteney Cox. “It was really fun!" Kudrow told Us. "God, Courteney is fantastic! She is so funny. I had such a fun time.”

We wish the creators would change their mind! Look at what happened with Sex and the City! We’d pay $10 too see all six Friends back together!
Don't MISS out on Breaking News!
Two old “Friends” are being reunited! Lisa Kudrow, who played the role of Phoebe on Friends, is going to be guest starring on Cougartown, the sitcom about a woman entering into her 40s, which stars Courteney Cox.

ABC confirmed the casting news to TV Guide, saying Lisa will start shooting in early 2010. Courteney told TV Guide, “She’ll play a dermatologist that my character can’t stop going to even though [she's] mean to me.”

She continued, “The show’s writers are not exactly sure yet, but whatever it is, she’s the best in town at what she does and I become addicted.”

Now all we need are Ross, Rachel, Joey, and Chandler to complete the party! Cox did say she already approached Matthew Perry to be on the show, as well as her close friend Jennifer Aniston.

“I did ask Matthew if he’d play my boyfriend on the show,” she says, “but he thought it was a little too much after Chandler and Monica.” Then there’s Jennifer…“I’d love for her to be on the show, too,” Cox says. “Obviously we can’t cast her so close to Lisa’s appearance but if there’s a great part for her, I’d send it right away. She’s younger than me so she can’t play my contemporary even though she did on Friends, but I think we can find something great for her to play.”

If Jessica Biel was hoping her upcoming role as a stripper in Powder Blue was going to get her an Oscar nod, she's about to be really disappointed.

Biel's latest movie, which also stars Ray Liotta, Forest Whitaker, Patrick Swayze and Lisa Kudrow, won't even make it to the theaters. It's going straight to DVD.

Don't feel too bad for Biel though, she still has a few projects in the works including the romantic comedy “Easy Virtue” alongside Ben Barnes and Colin Firth; and the political satire “Nailed,” co-starring Jake Gyllenhaal and James Marsden

But if you still have your heart set on watching Biel strip down (who wouldn't want to?) you can pick up the DVD in June.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Lisa Kudrow, and Susan Sarandon have all teamed up to star in a new show people are calling “groundbreaking.” The show will travel back in time to follow a celebrity’s ancestry in hopes of discovering links to American history.

Viewers will be taken to a celebrity quest in exploring his or her past that will uncover "stories of heroism and tragedy, love and betrayal, secrets and intrigue that lie at the heart of their family history."

The celebrities will expose their emotional, personal and even mysterious encounter with their past. Additionally, the show will also expose how the lives of everyone's collective ancestors' have shaped today's world.

Lisa Kudrow says of the new venture, "This show personalizes history and turns it into a gripping narrative. The most striking thing about the show is the realization of how connected we all are."

The series airs April 20th on NBC. No other celebrities have been announced as participants, but we love this idea! It’s definitely something that’s never been done, and we need more creativity when it comes to reality shows. Enough with the skanky dating shows!
