Rep Confirms Lindsay in Rehab

Lindsay's rep has confirmed that the actress has admitted herself to rehab.

"Lindsay admitted herself to an intensive medical rehabilitation facility on Memorial Day. Because this is a medical matter, it is our hope that the press will appreciate the seriousness of the situation and respect the privacy of Lindsay as well as the other patients receiving treatment at the facility. There will be no other official comments regarding this issue."

I'm inclined to believe this move was made not on Lohan's ernest desire to clean-up her act, but to provide a good show of it prior to her arraignment for DUI and drug possession charges. That way her lawyers can beg leniency based on the client's, ah hem, responsibility for her actions...
