Rehab Changed Lindsay Lohan's Life

Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan shocked us all by actually sticking through with rehab and even staying longer than she needed to stay. That is all because she is a changed woman who has put her partying days behind her.

One thing that helps her is meditations. Every time she wants to go back to partying she meditates.

She says, "It (rehab) changed my life. I didn't have a good grip on it and I needed to get my s**t together. I was going out too much. There were therapy classes to talk about relationships. If I get stressed out, I say a serenity prayer and I meditate too."

Once again these celebs have no will power. She thinks she needs to give up partying all in all to be a changed person. No Lindsay, you are 21 years old and it is natural for you to want to party. Partying 7 days a week 24 hours a day is another story. Normal people who like to party usually do about 2 or 3 days a week. Why is it so hard for these celebs to do things in moderations?

I tend to disagree with the hollyscoop girls saying Lohan doesn't need to stop partying all together. Her addiction is partying, drugs, and dranking. The remedy for addicts is to stay away from things that will easily convience you to turn back into the lifestyle you desperately seeked help to control. So right now until maybe many/several years from now, she needs to stay away from the party life for her own good.

Normal to party 2 or 3 days a week???? Sounds a little excessive to me if you define "party" the same way as I do, and work full time.

Recovery - easy does it!
Lindsay DOES for the time being need to stay away from the partying - it's a damned shame that she became addicted when so young, but, oh well: it is what it is. If she wants to be alcohol & drug free, she absolutely should stay away from the party scene for a while. She can obviously have her own parties - ergo set her own rules about substances - but she SHOULD definitely stay as far away from the bar scene as possible until she's secure in her recovery. Once Lindsay's "over the hump" in her recovery, she should be able to be around partying with no problem. It's the beginning that's the hard part. After 10 years of sobriety, I can hang out and party with the best, albeit soberly, and I am a GREAT designated driver! I'm pleasantly amazed that Lindsay seems to be taking this seriously, especially after her stupid remarks before this round of treatment. GOOD FOR HER - I can only wish her the best - if she reads this, she should know she has a kindred soul out there rooting for her.

Miss Thang is right-on. What a poor criticism to make. Whether you can say it's an actual addiction or not (to partying), it is clearly not an activity she is able to moderate until she finds something in life that weighs her down, providing stability. She has an addiction to illegal and legal substances that she can't be around without being tempted. That is some mature thinking on her part - knowing this and making the choice not to entice temptation. She shouldn't be chided for playing it according to your criteria. Boo on you!

the point of the story is celeburetards dont know how to do things in moderation. they do things until it leads to an addiction. lindsay was going to be an addict regardless if she was famous or not. She used to party like that before she was even famous. Anyone from her hometown knows that she was the big ho in town at such a young age

I have to agree with the 'Holly' girls. All these stars are so quick to jump into rehab and claim to be 'sick.' Lindsay Lohan was drinking and partying too much. How many of ya'll went off to college and did the same damn thing? The only difference was you weren't being photographed every minute of your life. She def. needed to slow down but to think she is going to spend the REST of her life without ever drinking again (Like recovering alcoholics must do) is absurd. All she needed to do was grow up and learn moderation. She's 21 and everyone needs to give the poor girl a break.

Sam, how ill-informed you are. The world is full of addicts that couldn't operate in moderation - it is all or nothing. Not all are as strong as you and I. Making the correct choice and not compromising her chances in life is a very mature decision. IF she is really doing this in earnest, then she should be heralded and not subject to this crap. OF course, if this is all jsut a ruse, as with others, then she deserves the criticism. That hasn't been determined yet and isn't the subject of this story.

Oh, and if she is a 'ho', then that is a different subject - not relevant to the addiction thing (unless she is addicted to riding the beefstick).

I agree, but I also disagree. For a true addict... one touch and it's back to the old ways. One sip and your done with. An addiction is just like any other disease and you have to continually treat it. I have mild addiction and I have, over the past 2 years, taught myself moderation on drinking. I quit drugs cold turkey including pot because I know one puff and I'm going to crave what I know I shouldn't have. As for the drinking, I try to keep myself busy. After a long period of time, yes, an addict can possibly go back to enjoying a glass of wine or two, but the rehabilitation process is a very long process that can last months and even years. Jumping right back in will put you right back where you started. The thing to do is start in moderation and keep in moderation. Yes, there are people with addictive genes but then there are people like I was where I just kept going full force and didn't really know what to do when I was sober. Addiction isn't curable, but it's livable.

I think she's being recruited by the COS. She'll be another katie holmes when tom cruise gets through with her. I really think she was brain washed. Scientologists own some studios and try to recruit the actors, they even have john travolta going after miley.
